With a capacity of more than 300 people, the Lázaro Cárdenas National Port System Administration (ASIPONA LAC) began activities to link the port with the city on the occasion of the 47th anniversary of the port area and 27th anniversary of the entity.
To guarantee the safety of the attendees, in addition to complying with health measures, there were random tests for COVID 19, by the Health Jurisdiction, having been negative in all cases in which it was applied.
With a formal act headed by the Director General of ASIPONA LAC, Retired Admiral Jorge Luis Cruz Ballado, inaugurated the Walk and the Cycloton that took place from the Malecón de la Cultura y las Artes, touring the interior of the port and returning to the point of departure.
Present at the inauguration were the Chemist Pharmacobiologist María Itzé Camacho Zapiaín, Municipal President of the City Council of Lázaro Cárdenas; Captain. Gabriel Estrada González, Commander of UNAPROP Lázaro Cárdenas; Mr. Mauricio Morales de Santiago, representing Vice Admiral Ubaldo Gómez Rodríguez Regional Port Captain; Infantry Second Lieutenant César Zacarías Pérez Vázquez, representing the Military Garrison and Alfonso Pérez Martínez, Marketing Manager of ASIPONA LAC.
Under an atmosphere of joy and healthy recreation, the participants wore the t-shirts that were awarded to them on the occasion of this anniversary during the journey, successfully concluding these two activities that are the preliminary of the series of events that will take place as part of the anniversary. In addition, the reopening of the Malecón de la Cultura y las Artes to the general public was announced from Tuesday to Sunday from 6:30 in the morning to 10 at night.
Next Tuesday, November 23, the chess tournament will take place; on Wednesday November 24 it is the turn of the Youth Dance Meeting; Friday November 26 will be the botargas race and the rock concert; on Sunday November 28 the 10k Race and Half Marathon. Already on Saturday December 4 is the Piñata Contest and it will close on Sunday December 5 with the concert of the Sonora Dinamita and the lighting of Christmas Lights.
