The Integral Port Administration of Lázaro Cárdenas (APILAC), held a videoconference with members of the Mexican Association of Shipping Agents AC (AMANAC) and members of the Promotion Subcommittee (Lazaro Cardenas Port Community), with the purpose of reaching an approach with the directors of the shipping lines that operate in the port.
This meeting, which was formalized in a virtual way, led by the General Director of APILAC, Engineer Jorge Luis Cruz Ballado, who also presented himself to the participants of the event and handled various topics of interest to the shipping lines and the participation of the entire community. port, reaffirming the commitment to provide quality services to the logistics sector.
Thus, detecting opportunities for improvement for port operations, clarifying the benefits that port operations carried out in this port provide, since there is rail and road connectivity with the main economic points of the country, being also the main gateway for products from Asia to Mexico, the United States and Canada.
The APILAC and the Promotion Subcommittee have proposed to hold this kind of meetings virtually, having an approach with the shipping lines, in order for the import and export operation to achieve greater competitiveness in the Port of Lázaro Cárdenas, providing broader business opportunities to make them more extensive and productive.
