APM Terminals joins the local campaign “Without mask, there is no service”, as a measure to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 in their community
In Lázaro Cárdenas, APM Terminals has joined the local campaign “Without mask, there is no service”, an effort whose main objective is to reduce the contagion curve in the city.
In addition to the various strategies implemented since March at APM Terminals, which includes activating preventive protocols to guarantee the safety and health protection of its employees, as well as making strategic donations to the local health sector, APM Terminals has joined the local campaign “Without mask, there is no service”, as part of the corporate social responsibility that the company assumes in its locality.
“Without mask, there is no service” is a local campaign in which various companies and organizations such as the Business Coordinating Council of Lázaro Cárdenas, Fertinal Group, Arcelor Mittal and the Integral Port Administration (through its permanent program Port- City), have formed a common front with the firm objective of reducing the number of infections in this city.
This campaign is aimed at reinforcing and conducting public awareness to adopt the necessary sanitary measures to prevent the spread of the virus in this city: the organizations adhering to the CCE will not provide services to citizens who do not adequately wear the face mask, which is a of the main measures in this pandemic. “This simple action could represent the difference to reduce the spread of this virus,” said the president of the Business Coordinating Council, José Luis Esquivel.
“The companies in Lázaro Cárdenas and the port community have formed a common front with various actions, ranging from a radio campaign with messages alluding to the adoption of preventive measures, donation of masks at strategic points in the town, to the sanitation of local public transport units to ensure that one of the essential services in our community can continue safely, “said the manager.
“As citizens, we must be aware of the individual actions that have an impact on our community, and the proper use of the face mask is a measure that all people can adopt in a responsible way,” said Sandra Barreda, Corporate Affairs Manager of APM Terminals Lázaro Cardenas.
“At APM Terminals, we continue to monitor the evolution and progress of COVID-19, in order to be attentive to the initiatives to which we can join, such as donations to local medical centers in our community, activation of health protocols to mitigate the impact of COVID-19 on our collaborators, clients and users, as well as the implementation of commercial strategies to support our clients, ”said José Rueda Salinas, General Director of APM Terminals.
The company’s challenge is to continue promoting economic and social development through responsible contributions in the face of a global crisis to promote sustainable profit as part of our community and commitment to Mexico.
