As part of the promotional work and reaffirm the commitment to provide quality services to the logistics sector, the Sub-Committee on Promotion of the Lázaro Cárdenas Port, participated in a meeting with shipping lines attached to the Mexican Association of Shipping Agents A.C. (AMANAC) in Mexico City.
Headed by the Comprehensive Port Administration of Lázaro Cárdenas, the competitive advantages offered by this port area were presented, since thanks to its port community, it works jointly and efficiently for the benefit of the clients that handle their cargo through this port.
Its modern infrastructure, was another of the topics discussed as it has specialized terminals that provide services with the highest quality standards, coupled with the planning and development of commercial activities that have increased the positioning of Lázaro Cárdenas internationally.
In an exchange of ideas, both attendees and exhibitors clarified the benefits that port operations carried out in this port provide, since there is rail and road connectivity with the main economic points of the country, being also the main gateway of products from Asia to Mexico, the United States and Canada.
The Sub-Committee on the Promotion of Lazaro Cardenas Port, stands out as the first formal model of the port community in the country, being the conformation of the logistics chain of Puerto Lázaro Cárdenas, thus fulfilling this work visit with the purpose of promoting new investments and land projects that generate economic and commercial development.
Among the shipping lines that participated are Hapag Lloyd, Evergreen Line, CMA-CGM, COSCO, Maersk Line, Mediterranean Shipping Company, among others.
