Subcommittee on the Promotion of Puerto Lázaro Cárdenas exposes competitive advantages before leaders of HAPAG LLOYD
Members of the Sub-Committee on the Promotion of Puerto Lázaro Cárdenas held a meeting with leaders of the Hapag-Lloyd shipping line on their second day of work visit in Mexico City.
The competitive advantages offered by the Port Lázaro Cárdenas were successfully exposed, as well as the proposal to increase transfers where the infrastructure of the two specialized terminals that this site has are the most modern and functional to meet the demand commercial.
Lázaro Cárdenas seeks to bring its services and benefits to the main actors in the logistics and distribution field to establish greater investment and a stronger economy in the region and directly serve customers and users of terminals, transportation, maneuvering operations, customs, among others.
Among the assistants of the shipping line was attended by Guillermo M. Svachka, Director of Sales; Elba Fierro, Director of Operations in Mexico and Felipe E. Bracamontes, Manager of Port Terminals. Where one of his requests was to work more together the entire Logistics Chain, to establish a Contingency Protocol.
The work team of the Subcommittee on Promotion will be integrated by Mr. Raúl Antonio Correa Arenas, General Director of APILAC; Accountant Alfonso Pérez Martínez, Marketing Manager of APILAC; Juan Carlos López Flores of the Association of Customs Agents of Lázaro Cárdenas (AAALAC); Abelardo Lozano Herrera of the Association of Federal Freight Carriers of Lázaro Cárdenas (ATLAC); Yamile Sánchez of the company APM Terminals; Elías Chiprout Torres of the company Hutchison Ports LCT and Ana Laura Salazar Tello of the Kansas City Southern company in Mexico.
