The Integral Port Administration of Lázaro Cárdenas, recognized the dedication and permanent effort of the H. Fire Department of this entity with a ceremony carried out with the corresponding sanitary measures at the Puerto Lázaro Cárdenas Emergency Center.
The Director General of APILAC, Retired Admiral Jorge Luis Cruz Ballado addressed them a message where he highlighted his contribution to the community, extending congratulations to all the firefighters of Lázaro Cárdenas and committed them to continue serving with fervor for their institutions, with effective professionalism and humanitarian service.
This August 22, our country commemorates Firefighter’s Day, in gratitude to the men and women who put their hearts and souls into it. That day, it was chosen to remember that, in 1873, the first fire department was created in the port of Veracruz.
The elements thanked the symbolic tribute where they highlighted that they are committed at all times to prevent and act against daily emergencies such as accidents, fires, rescues and other services they have faced, as well as mitigating and controlling the Covid-19 virus.
For its part, the APILAC Fire Department has two tank-type units with a capacity of 10 and 20 thousand liters of nurse-type water, two ambulances for pre-hospital care and a Rescue and Rapid Attack unit, with a tank 1,500 liters of water, 100 liter tank of AFFF foam (extinguishing agent), having the best means to act with maximum guarantees.
